Got an idea for our Carnival of Culture?

CARNIVAL OF CULTURE SATURDAY 12TH JULY 12-3PM It’s the big one — the summer event! And this year, we want to celebrate our magnificent community and all the cultures that make us so special! We believe that learning about, understanding and appreciating different cultures makes us kinder, more thoughtful human beings all round. We are a wonderfully diverse community at Kilmorie, with people from lots of different backgrounds. That is something to celebrate in our book! We’re designing the day now to make sure we have lots of fun games and activities, food and drinks that celebrate who we are. But it’s your ideas that are going to make this day amazing... Do you have any fun games we recreate? Or do you know (or are you?) musicians, dancers or performers who would like showcase their skills? We also have some room for stalls, so if you know someone who would like to sell their wares, or take part in our carnival, please email us at friendsofkilmorie@gmail.com and we’ll be in touc...

Plan your day: Early Years Garden Party

It's less than one week till the Early Years Garden Party - and we're really excited. Gates open at 11am and we close at 2pm. Here's a little more information to help you get ready .  TOKENS:  To make it easier for everyone, we sell tokens both in advance and on the day, which then you use to pay for things at the stalls. The tokens come in bags of 10 for £5 (50p per token). These tokens can be used on all our stalls, except the Bar and HotDog stalls.  BUYING TOKENS: Between 6-9 May , at drop off and pick up - we'll be selling the tokens at both the Elsinore and Kilmorie Rd school gates. We will only be able to accept card when purchasing at the gates. And don't worry, if you can't get there this week, you will be able to purchase on the day too.  OTHER PAYMENT TYPES: Tokens and cash can be used on all our stalls, except for the Bar and Hotdogs. If you are using cash, the more coins or small notes, the better, as we don't have a huge amount of change on si...

Still to come in our Summer term...

As the weather gets better (we hope saying this doesn't jinx it!), we've got lots of events planned to bring the school and community together!  Pride Picnic! Friday 4th July 4.30pm -7.00pm To show our support for Pride, we're hosting a relaxed evening in the school playground. We're encouraging you to bring a picnic and a blanket, let kids play, and have a chat with other parents. It's a BYO (bring your own) affair, but we will have a simple bar available with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and crisps.  Summer Carnival of Culture  (aka the summer fair) Saturday 12th July 12pm   We're in planning mode: designing a fun event that celebrates the fantastic cultures that we have in our school and borough. If you have any ideas, feel free to send them to us at friendsofkilmorie@gmail.com
